Lhasang is a Tibetan word meaning «Smoke offering to protective deities».
Tibetans, like the Japanese and many ancient peoples, believe that the natural world is full of protective deities whom we must honor and respect in order to attract their blessings. There is a «Kami». tree, a master tree in Dechen Chöling Park, to which we pay homage every week with smoke and recitations.
