Jane Arthur

Jane’s involvement with Shambhala began in 1997. She lived at Karmê Chöling from 1997-2000 where she held several positions including Program Sphere Manager. At the request of the Sakyong, she became the Executive Director of the Boulder Shambhala Center, where she served from 2000-2004. She then moved to Shambhala Mountain Center to be Head of Practice and Education from 2005-2006. During that time, she also served as the Chair of the Marpa House Board and as a Secretary to the Sakyong. She was the Executive Director of Karmê Chöling from 2006-2014. She was Executive Director of the Vermont Leadership Institute from 2014-2016.

She was appointed by the Sakyong as Minister, The Government Pillar in 2016. A large part of her job is developing a leadership path including working with Envoy Richard Reoch on the continuing evolution of the Monarch Retreat.
