Claire van Rhyn
A student of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, Claire van Rhyn teaches Shambhala Art in Europe and South Africa. She is the shared coordinator for the Shambhala Art programme in Europe. Claire was the Arts coordinator for the London Shambhala Centre for a number of years, and still supports the development of Arts programmes at the centre. Originally from South Africa, she now lives in London with her children. Claire is a designer, researcher and educationalist. She has over 20 years experience in information design, art direction and participatory creative process. Her artistic practice includes performance, choreographic games making and digital-material installations. She has researched social cognition for Universities of Cambridge, Exeter and Roehampton. Her practice-based PhD research at the Royal College of Art is funded by the AHRC London Doctoral Design Centre.
