As students of dharma we acquire dual nationality: one allegiance to wisdom or sanity, another to confusion.
There is an element of ‘Tendrel’ or auspicious coincidence in finding our Path… We fall in love, with some sense of heat and urgency. We feel safe and this can move and inspire us …yet we also feel challenged. As meditators we are promised groundlessness, a Journey without Goal, No Results, giving up on attainment. It is sometimes said that we feel ‘completely seen through’ and ‘completely accepted’ in the same instant. So, what ground is there for the practitioner actually to trust ?
During this programme we will examine how understanding that we are part of a bigger mandala helps us; we will discuss the immense value of our Shambhala lineage and Teachings, as also what it means to Take Refuge in Buddha, Dharma and Sangha.
This 5-day retrerat is suitable both for experienced meditators and beginners.
