(last updated February 8th 2022)
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
These rules apply to all people coming to Dechen Chöling.
If you are coming from abroad, please ensure that you have fulfilled the French government requirements for entering France.
The Covid-19 epidemic situation in France allows us to host programmes at full capacity both in our practice and dining spaces, as well as accommodations.
What will I need to come to Dechen Chöling ?
You will need a valid vaccination pass (“pass vaccinal”) to come to Dechen Chöling:
• A vaccine certificate showing full vaccination, OR
• A certificate of recovery from COVID (from 11 days to 6 months prior), OR
• A certificate of medical reasons for not being vaccinated.
Children under 12 years of age are not required to present a COVID certificate or vaccination pass.

Once in Dechen Chöling
Your situation as programme participant will be what the French government describes as being part of a “groupe social”, a group of people who live together for a period of time and do not have much interaction with other people.
In that context rooms, dorms and tents can be shared, but we have to respect each other’s boundaries, so please approach your roommates and tent mates with kindness. To minimize awkwardness, please let us know at online registration if you’d like to share your room, dorm, or tent with other people that you know.
You will have to declare not having Covid-19 symptoms at registration on arrival day and we ask you to let the programme coordinator or well-being person know immediately if you were to develop some while in Dechen Chöling. If a Covid-19 diagnosis were confirmed by PCR testing, we would assist you to leave Dechen Chöling in the best possible conditions.
To keep the situation safe for everyone:
- Soap and sanitizer will be available in various spaces
- Shared indoors spaces will be ventilated regularly
- Please respect 1 to 2m distance from each other until the situation feels safe for both
- Masks: Please bring your supply of masks for the duration of your programme and feel free to wear them anytime. Masks are generally recommended indoors when social distancing cannot be respected. The wearing of masks will not be mandatory outdoors nor during practice sessions.
We hope these rules will allow us all to have joyful and safe gatherings!
