After two years as transition director of Dechen Chöling, I am finally leaving my post. It has been a time of collective contemplation around the meaning of Dechen Chöling and its place in the heart of the European Shambhala community and of Dechen Chöling lovers in general. Being at the centre of those conversations, I have learned a lot about our community’s conceptions and aspirations concerning Dechen Chöling and their path altogether. These two years have been intense but I think most people who came here felt supported through their personal process by Dechen Chöling’s nourishing energy. Now as our community is still going through various levels of clarity and confusion, knowing that this land, its trees, water, insects, birds and general beauty hold a lot of peace, I wish for the community to find that peace too as a support for their path. There is nothing better here than when the mind relaxes and we can be touched and nourished by the dralas and the teachings.
Over the years, Dechen Chöling has been an amazing training ground for me. I have met many wonderful people and had many precious experiences. I have been bathed in the golden light of the Shambhala dharma. Now as I am moving towards a new personal and spiritual direction, I wish that this place will continue to benefit many beings.
Warm and friendly wishes to you,
François
