Vajrayana Intensive

The Vajrayana Festival is a wonderful opportunity for the vajra sangha to practice, study, and live together on the magical land of Dechen Chöling in the blossoming of spring.

This year, we will explore the Shambhala lineage, looking at our Buddhist and Shambhala families. In particular, we will look at our roots in the life stories and teachings of Padmasambhava and contemplate the question of how crazy wisdom relates to the Shambhala vision and path of creating an awake society in these tumultuous times.

Everyone will have time to practice their main vajrayana practice separately – Shambhala ngöndro,Werma sadhana, and Scorpion Seal practices – as well as to practice Ashe Mahamudra and Ashe stroke. There will be talks, group discussions, qigong and body exercises, outside explorations, and small group interviews with Acharya Rockwell.

This retreat counts towards group practice requirements.

Prerequisite

This retreat is open to all Shambhala vajrayana students who have attended a Vajradhatu Vajrayana Seminary or a Sacred World Assembly. This is a wonderful opportunity for the entire vajra sangha to gather and be of one mind, one heart.
